"To me, birds and maps represent home, community, migration and gentrification." I worked in real estate for 20 years and watched communities change, grow and disappear. I love looking at old maps, and I love the birds in my yard - no matter what changes, they always build a home.

I print historic maps I find online, then paint the bird with acrylic paints, including touches of watercolor and gouache.

All prints are professionally printed on Epson Paper.

Image size is 7.5"x9.5" with a .5" border to fit any standard 8"x10" frame or mat.

They are packaged with cardboard, a cellophane sleeve, and signed by me on the front.
